É coordenador do PPGEPS, foi Professor convidado na Universidade de Loughborough (UK) em 2008, da Universidade de Padova (”Università Degli Studi Di Padova no Dipartimento Di Ingegneria Industriale  Centro Studi Qualità Ambiente”) e é bolsista Produtividade do CNPq desde 2014 (PQ-2). O Professor Osiris obteve o titulo de Engenheiro Industrial Mecânico pela Escola de Engenharia Industrial de São José dos Campos/SP - EEI (1991), o titulo de Mestre em Engenharia Mecânica pela Universidade Estadual de Campinas - UNICAMP (1994) e o título de PhD pela Universidade de Loughborough na Inglaterra (1999). Suas áreas de pesquisa está concentrada em: Modelos de informação para o suporte ao projeto e manufatura durante as atvidades no processo de desenvolvimento de produtos. O Professor Canciglieri é autor e co-autor de 3 livros, mais de 100 artigos nas áreas de ”Product Design, Product Manufacturing, Product and Manufacturing Models, Enterprise systems integration and interoperability”.
