PUCPR kicks off its first classes for the Summer Institute in Florence!
We are excited to announce such a historic moment for us! Today, PUCPR kicks off our first classes taught at our campus in Florence as part of the PUCPR Summer Institute.
Today, Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Paraná launches its first classes from our programs in Architecture (Curitiba) and Law (Londrina). These regular undergrad classes will be offered outside of Brazil for the first time at our beautiful campus in Florence, Italy, which we gladly share with Kent State University. Professor Marlos Hardt from the School of Fine Arts will lecture a class on “Architecture and city: history, society, and environment in different world contexts”; in the next room, in the beautiful Palazzo Vettori in the heart of Florence, Professors Patrícia Eliane da Rosa Sardeto and Henrico Cesar Tamiozzo began the class “Digital Law: Human Being in (Renain)essence.”
Right before the classes started, the faculty and students had a warm, welcoming session by KSU Florence campus staff, where Director Fabrizio Ricciardelli and local staff members provided necessary guidance on health, safety, and other topics. Classes will take place until July 28 within the walls of Palazzo Vettori and in different historic locations throughout Florence – such as Palazzo Vecchio and the Galleria del Uffizi – and in cities in the Tuscany region, such as Siena. The proposal for the PUCPR Summer Institute is to have classes during July in the most diverse areas of knowledge.
