In a continued effort to foster global academic partnerships and cultural exchange, Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Paraná (PUCPR) has teamed up with Hankuk University of Foreign Studies (HUFS) to offer a specialized Portuguese Intensive Program for South Korean students. This initiative leverages the strengths of both institutions to provide a comprehensive and immersive educational experience.

The first session of this program took place during the Brazilian summer break in February, with the second group scheduled for the Winter Program from July 1st to July 28th. The curriculum is designed to offer morning Portuguese language classes followed by afternoon cultural activities, ensuring a balanced and enriching experience for the participants.

Expanding its international reach, PUCPR has also initiated a new program in Florence, Italy, through our Summer Insitute. This venture includes contributions from the Architecture program based at the Curitiba campus and the Law program from Londrina. Two standout courses, “Cityscape Chronicles: Unraveling Culture, Society, and Environment Throughout History” and “Digital Law: Human Being in (Renain)essence,” were conducted at the historic Palazzo Vettori. The setting provided students with a unique blend of academic instruction and cultural immersion, featuring integrated sightseeing activities that enriched the overall learning experience.
