Double and Triple Degree Commencement
On November 20, PUCPR held another Commencent for the students earning a double and even a triple degree from the International Business Program. Carlos Eduardo Hemkemeier Furlan and Noelia Fernandez Jauregui earned a double degree from our French partner, ESSCA School of Management, and Barbara Berthier de Azevedo has been awarded a double degree from the British partner St. Mary’s University. A triple degree was awarded to Carla Ross Forneck from both Varna University of Management (Bulgaria) and Cardiff Metropolitan University (United Kingdom).
PUCPR’s Rector, Brother Rogério Renato Mateucci, mentioned the relevance of holding yet another diploma of “Good Citizen” (“Gente Boa”, in Portuguese) granted by PUCPR to all our students. “Being a Good Citizen means living intensely, embodying Marist values within our lives: loving work as a way of changing the world; cultivating spirituality; transforming into a significant presence for those we live with; articulating intercultural attitudes, respecting differences; being simple in our way of living; see ourselves as a family and love that family; promote solidarity and build a more sustainable world.”
Besides the Rector, the board of directors comprised the Pro-Rector of Research, Graduate Studies and Innovation, Prof. Dr. Paula Cristina Trevilatto; the Dean of the Business School, Prof. Dr. Miriam Stolses Mazo and the Director of PUCPR International, Prof. Dr. Marcelo Távora Mira. The Coordinator for the International Business Program, Prof. Dr. Juliana Conceição Noschang da Costa, and the Internationalization Agent of the Business School, Prof. Dr. Carlos Augusto Candeo Fontanini, and some family members of the students were also attending the ceremony.
