Kent State University and the City of Florence signed an agreement
As part of the launch of the activities for the PUCPR Summer Institute in Florence (Italy), a PUCPR delegation, composed of Director for the PUCPR International, Marcelo Távora Mira, and Coordinator for International Education, Adriana Mattei, was invited to participate in the ceremony for the signature of an agreement between Kent State University and the City Council of Florence, represented respectively by the Vice President of International Education at KSU, Marcello Fantoni, and by Elisabetta Meucci, advisor for university affairs and research for the City of Florence.
The event took place at the Salone dei Duegento, the city council’s hall, located in the famous Palazzo Vecchio, the former residence of the Medicis, the most important European family in promoting the Italian Renaissance. On occasion, PUCPR was presented to the municipal manager as a strategic partner of Kent State and was invited to discuss possible partnerships to promote students’ coming to the city.
